Bayview Metals primary welding method is TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welding.
TIG Welding can be used to weld together many different material types. It is versatile because the welds can be horizontal or vertical. TIG Welding is a high-quality weld, that does not need wire consumables. By employing skilled welders, the welds are very clean, uniform, and have a nice appearance, which often does not need any secondary cleanup procedures.
Most of the welding done at Bayview Metals is done in high precision assemblies, with small welds to attach lighter gauge parts together. There is reduced heat distortion in TIG Welding, and the welding process is efficient, with longer, continuous weld beads. As a result, filler metals are not required.
MIG WELDING – 1 STATION
MIG Welding is utilized when there are large welds required, or a large fabrication project has been ordered. MIG Welding is faster and more efficient for this type of welding.
SPOT WELDING – 2 STATIONS
Spot welding is a highly efficient method of joining metal parts. It does not require gases, and our spot-welding machine is designed to be a hands-free procedure, enhancing productivity. Spot welding produces a clean, very strong joint, in a short amount of time. The welds are generally low visibility, so they do not require a secondary grinding procedure.
